I grew up as a Tibetan refugee in a small town in the foothills of the Himalayas in India. The only transport available to me was the school bus. We had to walk to all other places, walking was a way of life. Travel and other places fascinated me ever since I can remember. My first saving of my pocket money at the age of 8 years old was spent on a patent leather suitcase. I packed my clothes in it every day. So I can truly say that ‘travel and adventures’ has always been my passion.
When I emigrated to Australia and joined Thor Travel in 1988, my aim was to create a business that cared for not only its valued clients, but also for its valued staff and team members. I wanted to inspire our customers to travel, not only by the decoration and souvenirs in our office, but by the enthusiasm, experience and knowledge of our team. I am pleased to say that each of our team members have been chosen for all this and their continued thirst for travel.
At Thor Travel we work together as a team so our customers benefit from all our combined knowledge and experience. We are grateful to all our clients for their repeat business, and for recommending Thor Travel to their family and friends. Our aim is to be referred to travellers who are looking for good reliable service.

Growing up with parents associated with the tourism industry, I found my passion for travel at a young age. I began my career within the industry in 2011. Working for an Australia based Adventure Travel Company I was given the opportunity to experience the outback and surrounding areas of Australia.
I then spent 7 months travelling extensively through Europe and the UK, experiencing both independent and group tour travel. Some of my favourite destinations include Ireland, Turkey, Czech, Greece, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal.
Upon my return I moved into an International Travel Consultant Role.
I have also travelled broadly through Canada, from the luxury of Gold Leaf on the Rocky Mountaineer and Fairmont Lake Louise to hiking through Banff National Park and the Alberta Icefields.
In Asia I have travelled to Indonesia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
I have recently travelled to Sri Lanka and South Korea , experiencing amazing cultures, history and diverse landscapes.
Having grown up with parents who have both travelled extensively in the past, Hannah’s passion for travel was ignited from a young age. Her travels have seen her island hopping through Fiji, relaxing on beaches in Thailand and travelling to Indonesia twice. As well as a passion for the ocean, Hannah also has a fascination for wild animals and unique cultures. This took her on a safari through Kenya and Tanzania – finishing up with a diving course in Zanzibar. She spent six months overseas in the east coast of America working as a hiking and canoeing instructor. After which she independently backpacked through Mexico – one of her favourite destinations. She has toured through Western Europe – taking in London, France, Spain, Italy and Greece. During a stop over in Dubai she took in the sights of the Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world.
Most recently Hannah has returned from a six week journey which took her through Nepal, India and Sri Lanka. In which along the way she encountered wildlife in Chitwan National Park, a sensory overload cruising the River Ganges, a hot air balloon in dreamy Jaipur, a houseboat in Kerala, a home stay in Sigiriya and much more.
