Morning private transfer (vehicle with driver) from your hotel to Phnom Penh airport to check in for your flight to Siem Reap (Economy Class Cambodia Angkor Air).

On arrival in Siem Reap take a private guided transfer to your hotel.

Early afternoon travel by road to Tonle Sap for a cruise on the lake known as the Great Lake of Cambodia. Return to Siem Reap by private car with your guide, late this afternoon, stopping at Angkor Silk Farm en route.

In the evening, enjoy uniquely Cambodian performances by Phare, The Cambodian Circus (Middle Seating – Seat B). The 1-hour show** is an incredible hour of traditional and modern theatre, music, dance, acrobatic, athleticism, juggling and contortion all beautifully choreographed and performed in stories about Cambodian lives and society. Not to mention the famous smiles and slapstick humour that the Cambodian people are known for. The private guided return transfers to and from the show big top are included.

**The show commences at 2000 hrs in the evening. You are required to be inside the Big Top at least 30 minutes prior to the opening time.

Wake up early morning and take a private guided car transfer to Angkor Wat. Enter the little-used eastern gate of Angkor Wat to watch the sun’s first light shining down on the magnificent
temple – an experience you will never forget. Continue to explore magnificent Angkor Wat before larger tourist crows gather. Return to the hotel to freshen up and to have breakfast.

Later in the morning continue to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom and Bayon, Ba Phoun, the Elephant and Leper King Terraces, and the Royal Palace area.

Further mid-afternoon sightseeing includes the enchanting Ta Prohm Temple which is enveloped by the roots of enormous fig trees. Remain at the site to view sunset before returning to your hotel.

Morning depart for a private guided drive through the countryside to the small village of Kbal Spean. Stop en route to watch seasonal activities such as rice planting and harvesting. On arrival, begin a 40-minute jungle trek (easy grade) to the River of a Thousand Lingas where Hindu sculptures were carved into the river’s granite banks and bed more than a thousand years ago. The path can be a little slippery during the wet season, but the more difficult sections have bamboo
hand-rails and wooden steps. It is a 1.5km uphill walk to the carvings, but well worth the climb for the view of the valley below. Suitable footwear and bottled water are recommended if you intend to do the walk. On your return to the base of Kbal Spean visit the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity, home to a collection of animals that have been saved from trafficking. Creatures housed here include gibbons, monkeys, anteaters, storks, snakes, giant ibis, turtles, and the bright eyed and cuddly lorus (this centre is closed on Sundays and public holidays). After a lunch break at a local restaurant (lunch is not included), continue to visit Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre, the birthplace of Khmer classical style architecture. Return to Siem Reap late afternoon.

Meet your local guide at the hotel lobby early this morning (around 0500 hrs) to witness the age old tradition of alms giving (the alms/food is included and is prepared by your local guide) before returning to the hotel for breakfast.

After the breakfast break, embark on a morning guided sightseeing tour, visit the National Museum, explore the city’s fascinating array of shimmering temples and French colonial buildings, and climb Mount Phousi for panoramic views.

In the afternoon, visit Kuang Si Waterfall, one of the town’s highlights. A single large cascade tumbles from the jungle feeding a series of falls and pools that make perfect swimming holes. Laos may be a landlocked nation without beaches but Kuang Si’s cool turquoise waters make up for it.

In the morning take a short private guided car transfer to the local boat pier and spend the morning cruising (approximately 2 hours) the mighty Mekong River. Visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves and stop at a riverside village where rice wine is produced, then the village of Ban Muang Keo where traditional Lao textiles are woven on ancient wooden looms. On return to the hotel, stop at the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (closed on Mondays) to observe valuable artefacts and traditional clothing and implements from various minority groups in the area. Balance of the day at leisure.

In the morning, get up early at 05H00 to witness the age old tradition of alms giving. Then stroll through the historic streets to visit the Morning Market, where the locals and ethnic minorities of the surroundings come daily to trade their goods. Return to your hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, visit the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre, which is a new museum about the ethnic cultures of Laos. The centre exhibits ethnic clothing, household objects, religious artifacts and handicrafts. Lunch at Pak Houay Mixay Restaurant. Transfer to the airport for Lao Airlines flight to Vientiane. Meet upon arrival at Vientiane Wattay airport, transfer and check-in at the hotel. Vientiane’s major attractions are the serene Buddhist monasteries that dominate the center of town. The city has kept its timeless charm with tree-lined avenues, brightly painted temples and quaint French architecture. This afternoon, visit Vat Sisaket, the oldest original temple in Vientiane. Built in 1818, Vat Sisaket is the sole survivor of an invasion in 1828. Vat Sisaket features remarkable frescoes and 6,840 Buddha images. Nearby is Ho Phra Keo, once the royal temple of Lao monarchy. Built in 1565, Ho Phra Keo has been used as a museum since 1970 and contains some of the finest Buddhist sculptures and artifacts in the country. The main structure originally housed the famous Emerald Buddha that now resides in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Keo. One of the most photographed images of Vientiane is Patouxay, the victory gate also known as Anousavari. Constructed in 1958, its architecture is inspired by the Arc of Triumph in Paris. Another famous Vientiane landmark is the That Luang Stupa. King Setthathirath built this great sacred stupa in 1566. Its central structure is 45 meters tall and echoes the curving lines of an elongated lotus. The original stupa was said to contain relics of Lord Buddha.
