Morning transfer by the cruise company’s group transfer, a journey of up to 4 hours, to Halong and on arrival board your boat for a cruise among the rocky limestone islands in the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Seafood lunch and dinner are served on board.

Further cruising around Halong Bay this morning. Disembark at Halong and return to Hanoi and your hotel by the cruise company’s group transfer.

Morning private transfer (vehicle with driver) from your hotel to Hanoi airport to check in for your flight to Danang (Economy Class Vietnam Air).

On arrival in Danang take a private guided transfer to your hotel in Hoian. In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchant’s houses, the 400 year old Japanese Covered Bridge and colourful silk and antique shops.

 Morning at leisure. Please check out and leave your bags with the hotel concierge until time for the departure transfer. Leave the hotel at 1300 hrs this afternoon for a private transfer (vehicle with driver) to Hue via the scenic Cloud Pass**. The transfer takes approximately 3 hours.

**If the weather may turn bad on the day, for the safety of tour passengers and the local drivers, this transfer will be done via Hai Van Tunnels.

 This morning visit the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO listed site. Enter through the towering main gate and you will appreciate the magnificent architecture and gardens while your guide explains about the events and the intrigue of the former royal court. Despite being bombed heavily, there are some incredibly well preserved sections still intact and others which are being lovingly restored. Take a short private guided drive to the boat pier for a boat trip along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda, Hue’s best-preserved religious monument. Standing on the riverbank with its seven-storey tower, the pagoda is a sight to behold. Return to the hotel late morning in time for the hotel check out at noon.

 Begin your exploration of bustling Saigon with visits to the Presidential Palace, the War Museum (or the History Museum) and the Ben Thanh Market.

In the afternoon travel to Cu Chi to explore the amazing underground tunnel system built by Vietnamese guerilla fighters during the war.

This morning depart for a 2.5-hour drive to Cai Thia located in Tien Giang province. On arrival, leave your luggage on the local boat and start cycling 15km on small quiet paths around this beautiful and peaceful village. Stop at an orchard to taste tropical seasonal fruits. Then get back to your boat and cruise 60 minutes to a local home restaurant for lunch. Store luggage at the home-stay. Continue by boat to visit a local brick kiln to see how they create lovely potteries from clay and how bricks are burnt. Then take the rowing boat to go deeper inside the maze of small & quiet canals. Chance to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves, learn how local farmers catch fish** or pick up fruits by ancestral ways.

Continue to Ut Trinh home where you will stay for the night; enjoy tropical fruits and tea while listening to the traditional folk music of Mekong Delta. The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax at the hammock in front of the house or stroll around the islet to find out more about the local community. This evening, join with the owner to prepare some dishes for an authentic home-style dinner. (Note: The homestay is non air-con; the bedding and mosquito net may be not as luxurious as a hotel; however, this is a great way to get in tune with nature and to experience life in the Mekong Delta).

Enjoy fishing by hands in mud pond.

Your new exciting day starts with a simple breakfast prepared by our hosts. After breakfast, take a 45-minute boat trip to visit Cai Be floating market just to experience the agricultural river activities. Continue to the handicraft village to learn how local people make the Mekong Delta specialties: spring roll paper, roof thatching, fish sauce and soya sauce. Get back to your boat and cruise to visit an ancient Mandarin house where four generations of family members live together. Lunch will be served at the home restaurant. After feasting on Mekong Delta specialties, you may wish to straight your legs around the orchard to see how fruit is cultivated. Walk along the shady village path to your vehicle waiting for a 2.5-hour private guided drive back to Saigon.
