Info Nights & Events

Thor Travel and Partners invites you to attend our free and inspiring Adventure Travel Information Nights. These special evenings are designed to inform and entertain and are hosted by our most experienced and passionate adventure travellers and mountaineers at our Adelaide office (22-32 Frome Street ADELAIDE).

Tuesday 8th August 2017

World Expeditions has been pioneering adventure travel to the Himalaya for more than 30 years. Hear about the magic of this remote pristine wilderness and the unique cultures and festivals of Nepal & Bhutan.

Our treks offer a great opportunity to leave Nepal’s tourist trails and venture into the deep forests and roam the high alpine passes. Travel to the base of the sacred, fluted peak of Machapuchare. Go into the Annapurnas, beyond the tea house trails and trek through traditional Hindu villages where we are assured of a warm welcome. In Chitwan National Parkwe undertake a wildlife safari in search of rhino and the Bengal tiger. Take the trekkers pilgrimage to Everest Base Camp using our comfortable new permanent campsites with above ground bedding, head-high tents, western style toilets and an eco-friendly dining room! The Gokyo Lakes trek is a more tranquil journey through the Sherpa heartland that affords ample time for acclimatisation with opportunities to savour the mountain panoramas.

This evening will also inform you about tranquil Bhutan. In this serene kingdom we explore the cultural heritage and we follow trails that lead high above the Paro and Thimphu valleys to gain unrivalled views of the Himalayan peaks that define the borderlands of Bhutan and Tibet.

Wednesday 23rd August 2017

Come and see all the colour and vitality of the planet’s richest ecological span of land. See what it’s like to join our small group eco adventures into the cultural and physical wonderlands of Peru, with it’s legendary Inca Trail, Bolivia, and the vivid hues of La Paz markets, the jungles and forests of Ecuador and Venezuela – including the nearly 1000 metre high Angel Falls, the abundant wildlife and birdlife of the Galapagos and the sheer beauty of the remote Patagonia.

From challenging treks in the High Andes, to more gentle forays through diverse cultures and lands, South America promises much and delivers more.
